Skin Smoothing Yogurt And Honey Face Mask

I have recently started to look into natural treatments and remedies for my troubled skin and when I saw the recipe for this mask screamed at me to try it! It promised to smooth, sooth, moisturise, firm and neutralise my skin in just 10 minutes with only 2 ingredients…
Honey and yogurt

hhhmmm sounds a bit too good to be true but I already had both ingredients at home so thought it would be worth a try
In a bowl I mixed together 2 tablespoons of yogurt with 1 tablespoon of honey – that’s it the face mask is ready

Now to prep my skin. The instructions I was given told me wash my face thoroughly with soap and water and to rinse with clean hand hot water to open my pores before applying an even covering of the mask. I wasn’t sure if that was supposed to be a thick even covering or a thin even covering so I just splodged on a generous layer that wasn’t so thick as it dropped off my face! I used less than 1/4 of what I had made so will probably use teaspoons next time!
I left the mask on for 10 minutes

Then rinsed it off with warm water.
My skin felt smooth(er) and firm but also a little tight – but not dry.
I followed up with my usual moisturiser.
Initially I was happy with the results the redness around my current break out had settled down a fair bit and my skin appeared a lot less dry looking!
The next morning I was even happier because the rough/dry patches that were there before I had applied the mask had pretty much disappeared overnight the skin next to my eyes that seams to be getting crinklier and wrinklier by the day recently seemed ever so slightly plumped up and a little bit smoother! As the day went on my skin (as usual) did get drier but I have to say no where near as much as it had been of late!
So for me this very simple and extremely cheap to DIY face mask worked great it left my skin soft, moisturised and temporarily improved the look of my crinkles so I’ll definitely be using it again and regularly from now on 😀
This picture is a close up of the before and after of my skin (top is before and bottom is after)
